Women’s Health

Physiotherapy & Strength Coaching

Women’s bodies change across life - through puberty, pregnancy, motherhood, hormonal transitions, and ageing. My role is to help you understand what’s happening, support your body through those changes, and guide you back to confident, capable movement.

Whether you’re pregnant, post-partum, navigating perimenopause, or rebuilding strength later in life, my approach is individual, practical, and evidence-based.

Post-Partum Recovery & Return to Exercise

Post-partum recovery is not a race, and it isn’t one-size-fits-all. I help women rebuild strength, confidence, and trust in their bodies after birth. Programs are progressive, realistic, and designed to fit into real life.

Support includes:

*

Safe return-to-exercise planning

*

Pelvic floor support and integration

*

Abdominal wall rehabilitation (including separation)

*

Addressing pain with lifting, feeding, carrying, and daily tasks

*

Gradual return to running, gym training, Pilates, or sport

Pelvic Floor and Abdominal Rehabilitation

(Pilates-informed approach)

Pelvic floor and abdominal issues are common and often treatable.

I work with women experiencing:

*

Abdominal separation

*

Pelvic floor weakness or dysfunction

*

Feelings of heaviness, bulging, or instability

*

Difficulty coordinating breath, core, and movement

My approach integrates:

*

Pilates-based movement patterns

*

Pelvic floor awareness and strength

*

Abdominal wall function (not just “core tightening”)

*

Strength training that transfers into daily life and sport

Perimenopause Support

Perimenopause can bring changes that feel confusing, frustrating, or unexpected. You are not imagining it, and you are not broken. The goal is to help you feel strong, capable, and informed, not restricted or overwhelmed.

Support during this phase may include:

*

Education around hormonal changes and their impact on the body

*

Strength and conditioning programs to support energy, mood, and resilience

*

Sustainable exercise strategies that work with your physiology

Guidance around fatigue, joint pain, body composition changes, and recovery

*

Post-Menopause Health & Strength

Strength training becomes essential as we age.

Post-menopausal support focuses on:

*

Joint health and mobility

*

Muscle mass and strength maintenance

*

Bone density and osteoporosis prevention

*

Confidence with lifting, loading, and impact where appropriate

Programs are designed to:

*

Build strength safely

*

Reduce injury risk

*

Support long-term independence and vitality

*

Challenge outdated beliefs about ageing and exercise

Support for Prolapse & Haemorrhoids

(And Exercise Confidence)

Many women avoid exercise due to fear, often after being told to “be careful” without clear guidance. The aim is empowerment, not avoidance.

I support women with:

*

Pelvic organ prolapse

*

Haemorrhoids

*

Symptoms triggered by lifting, running, or gym training

Support includes:

*

Exercise modification

*

Education about what is safe and appropriate

*

Pelvic floor and abdominal load management

*

Gradual rebuilding of confidence with movement
